Effective May 3, 2010, township residents’ curbside collection of recycling will change to single stream – which means that all recyclables must now be placed in the same container.

Curbside collection will include all rinsed glass, plastic bottles, metal cans, newspapers, corrugated cardboard, magazines, brown bags, catalogs, junk mail, paperback books and empty non-toxic aerosol cans.  Continue placing these materials in your current reusable, sturdy container (no larger than 35 gallon capacity with a detachable lid).  Never tie, bundle or bag any recyclable materials.

The Ocean County recycling facility has been upgraded to single stream separation, making recycling easier.  Bagging, tying or bundling is prohibited.
