Toms River Township will be hosting an informal Home Elevation Seminar for residents wishing to learn about the process involved in raising their homes.

Presenters include:

-Roderick Scott from L & R Resources based in Mandeville, Louisiana. Scott is a Hazard Mitigation Specialist representing the Home Elevation industry,  and will give a Power Point presentation on the techniques utilized to elevate homes after Katrina and other disasters.

-Gary Seider, P.E. and Steve Gencorelli, P.E., from Chance-Hubbel Power Systems who will present a Power Point presentation on Helical Pull-Down Micro piles for home elevation, which is a technique utilized to elevate homes without moving them off of the property.

-Patrick Cronin, P.E. will discuss structural engineering issues pertaining to home elevation.

The presentations will be followed by a Q&A session.

The seminar is sold out, but there will be a videotaped presentation posted on our website for those who cannot attend.
