|Jeffrey Carr, Councilman, Ward 3|
Jeffrey Carr is a New Jersey native, serving his second term on the Township Council. He has a Bachelor of Civil Engineering (1979) and a Master of Civil Engineering (1982) from New Jersey Institute of Technology. Jeff is a New Jersey Licensed Professional Engineer, Licensed Professional Planner and Certified Municipal Engineer. He has over 35 years’ experience in civil engineering, commercial, industrial, residential land development and construction services. He is a Managing Partner with Lindstrom, Diessner & Carr, P.C. in Brick Township where he specializes in land development services. Carr received the New Jersey Society of Professional Engineers “Young Engineer of the Year” Award in 1990 and the “National Leadership” Award from the National Business Advisory Council in 2003.
Carr is the Council’s liaison to the Recreation/Parks Committee, Finance Committee, COAH Committee, Land Use/Community Development Committee and Capital Committee.
In addition, he has served on the boards of the following statewide and national organizations:
Jeff is active in the community, participating and coaching Toms River Youth Soccer and previously serving as a State Licensed high school referee. He is a current member of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ocean County, where he serves on the Board of Directors.
Jeff is also a member of the Toms River Seaport Society and Toms River Yacht Club. He enjoys golf, boating and sailing.
Jeff has been married to his wife, Lori, for 35 years, living in Toms River for 24 of those years. They have two children, Kelly and Ryan and one grandson, Carlos.
