Any homeowner interested in the program should complete the following request form and a package will be mailed to them. In addition, application packages can be picked up at Town Hall on the 2nd floor located at 33 Washington Street.
Please note that only homes that have been structurally damaged will qualify for the demolition program. Structural damage is any damage that has comprised the structural soundness of the building, which may or may not include damage to the foundation, exterior walls, load baring walls, beams, and roof support system. Any home that is not clearly visible to have structural damage from the street requires a structural engineer report and the homeowner is responsible for hiring an engineer to provide such report. Please note that only the notarized Right of Entry form and copies of valid ID must be submitted right away. All other requested forms are required but those two forms are required to enter the property into the list as a new submission.
Township’s Demolition program will cover the demolition and removal of your dwelling. The removal of the slab or foundation is normally not eligible for FEMA reimbursement unless disaster-related erosion underneath slab or foundation which would cause an immediate public health and safety threat. Township’s Private Property Debris Removal program will cover the removal of debris such as sand, neighbors dwelling or buildings, and other debris that may have floated onto your property.
