Mayor Thomas F. Kelaher has announced that the Township of Toms River is currently selling engraving pavers to the public as a fundraising event for the new Toms River Animal Shelter. In conjunction with the construction, the town is giving residents an opportunity to purchase a paver which will be installed around the front of the shelter surrounding the flagpole. The cost of each paver is $100 and can be dedicated as a memorial of a pet or a current pet. Up to 45 characters can be inscribed. The messages on the pavers are limited to Sponsorships, honoring or remembrances of pets or loved ones.

It is the intention of the program to use the funds raised to further the operations of the Animal Shelter. The deadline to purchase a paver is December 31, 2012, and it is anticipated that the pavers will be in place for the Grand Opening which will take place shortly thereafter.

"I am very excited that we set-up several locations for our residents to purchase the pavers," said Mayor Kelaher. You can bring either cash or check to any of the following locations: Toms River Animal Shelter, 2201 Whitesville Road; Toms River Senior Center, 652 Garfield Avenue, or the Toms River Clerk's Office at the Town Hall, 33 Washington Street.
