Health Commissioner Mary E. O'Dowd today urged those engaged in Hurricane clean up activities to make sure they protect themselves against environmental hazards that may be present in storm damaged homes and buildings.

The Toms River Township Police Department is launching a reverse 911 call system to notify residents when they will be allowed back over to the barrier island to visit their homes.
The Reverse 911 Self Registration system will allow residents to add their cell numbers and email addresses to the emergency and non-emergency automatic notification system.
