ATTENTION DOG OWNERS
2010  DOG  LICENSE  RENEWAL  NOTICE

It is mandatory that all dogs in the Township of Toms River age seven (7) months or older be licensed each year.  The Township of Toms River Animal Control Officers are currently conducting an annual Animal Census. Summonses will be issued to owners of unlicensed dogs.

LICENSES MUST BE RENEWED DURING THE MONTH OF JANUARY.
** PET LICENSING **
In order to receive a municipal dog license, the pet owner must first supply a Rabies Vaccination Certificate signed by a Licensed Veterinarian indicating that the animal’s duration of immunity extends throughout the first ten months of the licensing period.  Animals with a duration of immunity that expires prior to the 10-month cut-off point must receive a booster, prior to obtaining a license.

RABIES SHOTS

RABIES SHOTS THAT EXPIRE PRIOR TO NOVEMBER 1, 2010  WILL NOT  BE ACCEPTED FOR A 2010 LICENSE.  THE RABIES SHOT MUST BE VALID FROM NOVEMBER 1, 2010 AND BEYOND.

All mail-in requests must include a new, valid Rabies Certificate, if the shot we have on file expires prior to November 1, 2010.  Your request will be returned if you do  not include the new Rabies Certificate.   RETURNED REQUESTS MUST BE SENT BACK TO THE TOWNSHIP WITH THE PROPER PAPERWORK  BY JANUARY 31st.   PLEASE INCLUDE LATE FEES WITH ANY RETURNED REQUESTS, POST-MARKED  AFTER  JANUARY 31st.   (Fees listed  below.)
