SPRING 2011 COLLECTION
WEEK OF APRIL 4, 2011
Beginning the week of April 4, 2011, the Township will institute a curbside pickup of shrub & tree trimmings and branches to be chipped and recycled instead of land filled. Branches must be less than 3” diameter; all material must be in lengths of 4’ or less and weigh less than 50 lbs. DO NOT BAG ITEMS.Put material to be chipped at the curb before 7:00 a.m. on April 4th. Collections will occur for two consecutive weeks ending on April 16, 2011.
Throughout the year, residents can bring material to be chipped and leaves to the Toms River Recycling Convenience Center (1672 Church Road – entrance is ¼ mile east of North Bay Avenue) and pick up free mulch and wood chips.

ON THE START DATE FOR YOUR COLLECTION AREA***
If you reside in Ward 1…Your leaf collection week is April 18th
If you reside in Ward 2…Your leaf collection week is April 25th
If you reside in Ward 3…Your leaf collection week is May 2nd
If you reside in Ward 4…Your leaf collection week is May 9th
Only leaves in plastic bags will be collected from curbside. Leaves are not permitted in landfill. After the collection period ends, bagged or loose leaves must be brought to the Recycling Convenience Center (located on Church Road, east of North Bay Ave.), between 7:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday. |
